They could and should address the housing system. I'm not disagreeing on this point, but that still doesn't make Yoshida a hypocrite, especially since it only applies to people who both have a house and also regularly run out of things to do in the game. The majority of the players are thus not affected.

And why are you feeling tied to a housing in a game that you barely play (since apparently logging in once every 45 days is too much)? If you're the type of player who regularly runs out of things to do in FFXIV, and thus regularly wants to unsubscribe for more than 45 days, then why are you feeling to tied to a housing system in such a game? Get both an apartment and an FC room and enjoy raid logging or whatever it is you want to do for a month or so every major patch and then feel free to unsubscribe.
