I would like to propose that the Mentorship program gets a revamp. Or at least has a Community Head that overseas the program in-game per server.

I personally enjoy helping sprouts and usually go out of my way to help sprouts. However, there are more mentors who get mentorship for the social status and could really care less about helping out sprouts. It's a Linkshell chat to them, with the power to dismiss unruly members whenever they deem fit.

There should be, in some ways, a point system to even KEEP Mentorship. Something along the lines of "must run dungeons with X amount of sprouts in 1 month" or "must maintain positive mentorship feedback" as sprouts give likes and dislikes? However that last one could easily be ruined by the sheer number of trolls the game itself actually has.

Which is why I personally believe the only way the Mentorship program is going to see the love and attention it really needs is if a Community Head is appointed from the PR Level to really govern over the Mentors. Like a Mentor GM, essentially.

There are days I turn off the Novice Network completely and don't touch it for... weeks... months. I've been playing off and on for 8 years and sometimes I just really can't stand witnessing what goes on in the Novice Network.

The increase of Coms to even be a mentor in the first place was a good start in weeding out a lot of the bad mentors, but there really needs to be something more if Mentorship is going to be purely achievement base.
