Can you Abandon and Restart “The Ties that Bind”?

Hello!

My irl fiancée and I have been hanging onto “The Ties that Bind” for a while now. Most of our friends are on another server, so once our Road to 70 buff fell off, we wanted to jump servers to where are friends are and host our wedding there. However, we have learned that we cannot jump servers while actively holding “The Ties that Bind” incomplete in the journal.

We paid for the nice plan, so I don’t really want to mess it up and abandon the quest? But is there a way to abandon this quest and start it over? Will it mess up our plan/cause us to buy new wedding plan wristlets (or whatever the item is)? Ideally, we could abandon the quest, move over to a new world, pick up the quest, and then have the ceremony in the new world? I just don’t want to mess up and cancel the plan entirely.

Accept the Quest:
To begin preparing for your ceremony, you will first need to speak with Claribel, the ceremony planner found at the Sanctum of the Twelve in the East Shroud.

Over the course of the quest, you will acquire ceremony attire, prepare a set of eternity rings with your partner, and make reservations at the Ivory Chapel. The quest concludes with the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding.

* To prepare the eternity rings, you must first acquire a pair of flawless bands, have them engraved at the Goldsmiths' Guild, then embark on a pilgrimage to have them blessed by the gods.

* By progressing through the quest, you may select either a tailcoat or gown, regardless of the character's gender.

* Characters undertaking the special quest "The Ties that Bind" are not eligible for Home World transfer.

* Before using the Home World Transfer service, you must first either complete the quest "The Ties that Bind" with the character you wish to transfer, or cancel the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding by handing over your promise wristlet to the Sanctum acolyte. Please note, however, that doing so will irreversibly void your service plan. Furthermore, you will be required to purchase of a new promise wristlet if you wish to hold a ceremony at a later date.
