To make it work you usually need to rely on external tools and discord because there is no real ingame solution to keep track of the spawns. The should be atleast a option in the dungeon finder where you could auto join a train.
If you go to your DC's Discord server (which you can ask for in game on a pf or Google it), you can sign up for linkshells that tell you when trains are starting. Usually in my experience conductors announce 5 mins in advance so people from other servers can get there. Then you no longer need Discord if you don't want to use it.

I'm leveling my trusts atm but I'll look into Eden. I was hoping to avoid endgame til Endwalker because quite frankly, I still raid in wow and don't want to grind gear twice.

I just want it done BEFORE November.

You don't need to get savage gear to be ready for Endwalker. And anything less than extreme (savage really) isn't really "raiding", normal difficulty "raids" are only slightly harder than the average trial generally. You can complete them easily on your first lock out, probably first try even.

Reading your posts you seem to have placed yourself in a terrible solo mindset. Doesn’t work well in FF14. You will need to branch out and do more than just the MSQ. Though you may need to run a Trial or Raid once to move on, they become optional content.

Trusts can only get you so far. I’m leveling mine so everyone is 80. I use the gear I get to put on my other classes or sell, but it is extremely slow going and random.

You can server hop on your data center and check prices for the crafted gear so you can get the lowest price. There are Discord servers you can join with both s that look at server prices for you at a glance.

Eden normal raids are not endgame.
You don't need gear above min ilvl requirement. You don't need a guide, they have been out for forever and most random DF groups faceroll them into oblivion. It's really not a big deal and people should stop calling normal raids raiding because it's misleading for others. They're not raids. They're platform bosses with roughly the same difficulty as story trials. Normal raids are optional story content that happen to hand out a ton of gear for next to no effort, so it's great for catching up on gear.
This is still a MMO and that tiny bit of effort is something everyone needs to put forth, even if you're just here for the story. Min ilvl has its place, even in story content - because story content also involves and affects other players.

I think there are also marketboard sites online that check the prices for you and they're fairly accurate from what I've seen in the past. Manual server hopping is most accurate but they're close enough to the actual market board prices.

8 man non-savage and 24 man raids are not "elite" tier raiding. They are simply as I explain it to people "a dungeon but with more people". I think people get this idea that this content is hard or you need to invest a lot of time towards it when you really don't.

Most recent Eden's Promise 8-man raids get you 510 gear and most recent Nier 24 man raids get you 520 gear. You can also do the previous tiers of Eden. Gate is 450 and Verse is 490. Pretty easy to get components since they're not limited anymore on the latest IIRC and you can get the item for the weapon from only 4 runs of the final raid of each tier. Plus the Normal mode stuff is pretty easy even when it's current.

If you aren't terribly worried about finishing before EW, then the pattern has been the last tier of tomestone gear starts being available for poetics when the new expansion launches. So you could get augmented cryptlurker gear then with poetics instead of current tomestones. Poetics are a lot easier to stack up.

Levelling trusts is far FAR more grindy and time-consuming than doing Eden for tokens.

Plus all they're going to be able to do at endgame is run dungeons, which means further repeat runs hoping you'll get gear you need for your class and there isn't even a guaranteed loot drop at the end like levelling dungeons.

Also, if you haven't actually ventured into post-credits MSQ yet, note that you do not need to level your trusts to use them for first-time dungeon completion. You still get to run it once with the preset level 80 scenario mode team and learn the mechanics at your own pace.

No, it's not hard, but i still didn't want to do it.

And I raided savage in HW, I don't want to again. As I mentioned before, I raid in another game, I don't want to take two that way. Esp considering I don't really have evenings free *to* run.

I don't *mind* doing stuff with other players. I'm more concerned with side stuff essentially being required. if Eden wasn't an optional unlockable, then sure, fine. Make it part of the main story. I haven't unlocked *anything* because quite frankly, I don't want to.

I didn't want to tomestone farm. That was my biggest problem. I have a grand total of 2 dungeons that'll give them unlocked right now. -_-

And I'm leveling my trusts to level them. I'm getting the gear for alt jobs. I don't mind it, it's pretty mindless. And is something to do.
