High Pitch Squeal

I got a new desktop today, and set up dual monitors with 2560x1440 resolution. I noticed that I am limited in how I can play the game now though, and I'm quite sad I can't use my new computer to it's full potential.

If I put the game into Borderless Windowed mode it makes a really annoying high pitch squealing noise. I don't like full screen mode, it makes it far more annoying for multi-tasking and switching to my web browser and opening folders and stuff. For now I'm in windowed mode and set a custom size to 2500x1340. I can't set it to my monitors resolution cause it will make that squealing noise again.

I also can't put my graphics settings on High (Desktop) without it making that noise, so I went down to Standard. My desktop is veeeeery nice, it can handle high settings. I'm disappointed I can't set it any higher without the noise that kills my ears.

Any tips of how to help? So far I've only had this issue with FFXIV, but I haven't opened any other games, just the browser to redownload programs I needed.

Where is the sound coming from? What you are describing sounds like coil whine from your graphics card.

Changing my monitors' refresh rates down from 165 to 120 helped. There isn't a squealing noise now. I'm not sure where it came from, but I wasn't trying to pinpoint it either. I just know I wanted it gone asap. It hurt my ears super bad.
