Please could anyone out there help.
I’m working my way [ slooooowly ] but having great fun , as a level 24 Scholar [ not sure which direction I’ll go when time comes lol . anyway to my Main Question, my son [ who has mobility problems, is wheelchair bound ect ] has not the patience I have [for reasons I won’t go into ]

So I bought of the FF14 in game shop the Tales of Adventure: One Red Mage's Journey I & II
he is now L70 . He has seen some sweet gear in the i game quest to reach L70 for red mage ‘ Succession of Steel’
Question is because he’s used the level skip , is this [ and subsequent ] quest before it erased . As I went looking for the Ncp ,to the exact spot and he was’nt there.

Sorry for it being so long winded , guy’s and girl’s . Any help would great

I believe the skips automatically fulfill the quests, so maybe try going to the inn room on his character and seeing if the RDM quests are available to watch in the Neverending Journey?

He needs to complete the story up until ShB in order to do that. So unless he has, it won't be there.

Job quest lines are available in New Game+ ( /ng+ ) once you've unlocked it. The unlock NPC is in Vesper Bay after completing The Ultimate Weapon quest.

If he is just looking for the gear you should be able to buy it back from the Calamity Salvagers located in all three starting cities.

The skip potions give you all you need to qualify for what they give you and nothing extra. The job potions will make all job quests up to lv 70 completed and give you any skill rewards those quests normally offer. Any gear those quests might offer won't be given to you, instead you'll get the augmented poetics gear (scaevan I think) which is the best gear you can equip at that level.

Any special items or quest rewards that you'd normally have gotten through playing those quests will be available from the calamity salvager, this includes things like job artifact gear.

However, this does also give you an issue that you wouldn't normally get by playing. The job quests do nothing for MSQ completion and because most higher end vendors are locked behind some part of the MSQ, you won't have access to many things that a normal lv 70 would have. To gain access to those you'll need to either complete the MSQ or buy an MSQ potion. Mostly you'll notice this difference in what dungeons you have available to you and gear upgrades; for gear upgrades your only options will be to buy off the MB or to ask a crafter to make some for you.

yee! also changed styles too. i was getting bored of the choppy-do and light color, so i went brown and pastel orange!

You may be confused with the quest levels, because "Succession of Steel" is the level 80 quest and does not reward gear.

The level 80 Estoqueur gear is obtained by completing the MSQ and the caster role quest up to level 79/80 (partway through the final zone) where a character will gift you special gear for your class to use for the final battle.

The level 70 Duelist gear, originally gained from the quest "With Heart and Steel", can be repurchased from the Calamity Salvager NPCs in the starter cities.

You can replay the red mage quests up to level 70 using the "New Game Plus" mode but you don't receive any direct rewards from replaying it.
