If you are a tenant of anyone elses house it'll inform you of their timer too.I am such a silly cat, in all the years I've been playing I admit I was completely unaware this specific timer even existed (and resorted instead to simply entering my FC house regularly and making use of it to ensure it didn't get demolished), thank you for revealing that Theo! I learned something new!
Though as I'm sure you aware you have no power to stop it other than informing the owner.

This actually saved my most recent house, where an FC friend notified me because I had no idea and assumed I had more time on it. Apparently I was a day or two short of it going poof.
I've had a few homes get hit by the bulldozer. Least 1-2 I did get emails for, some I didn't. I wouldn't trust them. I also didn't get ANY notification they were resuming auto demolition to begin with lol... I don't know if they sent an email about that or just let everyone know via a patch note. Thank god for the FC.
I tested the e-mail notification when the demolition timer was introduced and i did get my notification.
Not trusting in it or SE system not to have a hiccup, i went to google calendar and made a monthly reminder/appointment on the 1st of every month.
Easy , no fuss.
Should i have to go and do that ? I guess not in a perfect world. But houses are hard enough to come by.
Yeah, I make sure to enter mine almost every day and turn my "tv" (Level Checker Replica) on/off. Can't be too careful. The game doesn't always register the owner's entry into a house unless they interact with an object in it (Summoning Bell is a common choice). I witnessed this with a friend who has one of my alts as tenant. The demo notice was showing up in our timers even though he had been in his house a few days before. He went back into the house - it didn't reset. He used his Summoning Bell - the notice disappeared from our timers.
Not sure why it glitches in this way but it happens.
As for the email notification, it can get diverted to spam folders or not delivered for other reasons outside of SE's control. Far better to be checking your Timers on a regular basis. It will show up in your timers when there's less than 15 days left before demolition while the email isn't prepared and sent until less than 10 days are left. I've made it a point to also check for my house when I'm checking the Timers after weekly reset for the new Custom Delivery items and Fashion Report.
I'm sorry that you lost your house but it's one of those situations where the GMS don't have logs that would prove you had entered your house during the 45 days before it was demolished. Until SE is willing to change to a system where demolition isn't needed because every player can get a house, there's not much we can do other than keep entering our houses and interacting with furnishings then check our Timers on a regular basis to make sure the demo notice doesn't appear.
I don't see anything about demolition...unless it only pops up if you haven't entered your house in a while. All I see in there is Company Projects and Exploratory/Subaquatic Voyages. And yes, I have my own house in Shirogane. The demolition notice is displayed in-game under Duty -> Timers -> Estate. Admittedly that isn't the most obvious or user friendly place to put the message and it should display upon logging in instead but generally speaking if players enter their house frequently, they won't risk losing it.
Demolition notices are in the second tab when going to timers. The tab is marked Estate and if there is nothing there about demotion you are fine. Seems to me though there should at least be a pop up warming to the owner in game if a demolition is pending cause most people aren't going to check that tab regularly.
I'm sorry you lost your house; but, CONGRATULATIONS on your new daughter! My house has been demolished without any attempt to contact me via the associated email on my account.
I had entered the house within the last 45 days and also installed new furniture. My game time has been a little limited this last month due to the arrival of my daughter, but I have still made sure to enter the house to keep the timer from expiring on it.
I have contacted GM's and support. However, they seem to think there is no issue on their end despite the lack of notifications being sent to alert me of the impending demolition.
In there words.. this is as design.
Feeling extremely frustrated and screwed over.
I think a warning first appears 2 weeks before demolition - so as long as that tab is empty, you should be good!
The most likely cause is the emails went into spam/junk - happened to me.
