Thank you undervolting is good advice. I set up a curve using msi afterburner to limit the card to reference clock speeds at a voltage which I confirmed stable in 3D mark. Unfortunately I still crashed. I also have tried the full screen optimizations, but no luck.Techsupport ignores and throws these to general discussion anyway. OP just skipped that part.
@OP
Try under volting your GPU. That solution worked for some with 3000 gen cards.
This game really hates any kinds of OC or stronger GPUs.
Also try disabling full screen optimisation

Hence I said for some. Not everyone has issues. Some people said they got crashes in FFXIV only and solved them with a slight undervolt. Just giving options since it does not hurt anything to try
I have big doubt that it's the patch itself, and more the fact that people have been driven back en masse to Bozja, Delubrum and Zadnor. There was a spike in dx11 crash reports back in 5.35 when Bozja launched, and again in 5.45 when Delubrum was launched.
Personally I exhausted all options, I can play the game at maximum quality for hours, but the moment I so much as set a foot in any of these maps, I have a guaranteed crash in the next 30 minutes to 1 hour whether I stay in the zone or immediately leave.
I will have to find teh article again, but I think it has to do with teh screen resolution and the 144 when you start up. let me do some digging to see if I can dredge that up
Pretty sure that was a long time ago.
Unless this is different from the limiter issue a while back.
144hz is an odd one to me. I think multiples of 60 makes more sense. 60, 120, 180, 240, etc.
Mines 120 3440x1440, and I don't have an game issues.

Trying a new PSU (850 watt gold) I will report back if this fixes it.
Edit: still crashes with new psu
This leaves only the nvme drive or Mobo, but would that really cause crashes and issues in only 1 game ??

This one speaks the truth.
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...-crashes-a-lot
And I still get Directx11 crashes.
Ok I just bought a new SSD to test that and it crashed with the nvwf2umx errors. Ran it with underclock no overlays. So far I have tried different gpu, different PSU, diffent memory, different storage device all isolated and on different clean installs. My CPU is p95/realbench stable and I experience zero errors or crashes in other titles. Event viewer is clear of errors/warnings. Really at a loss here. Maybe faulty pcie slot? But why would I only experience issues in this game ?
Have you tried setting a fps limit in the nvidia control panel?Ok I just bought a new SSD to test that and it crashed with the nvwf2umx errors. Ran it with underclock no overlays.
