There should be a new hairstyle design contest

As the title says, I do wish for a new hairstyle design contest- I have had a look at the other runner ups from the contest that was completed over 6 years ago and we have been since drip fed the winners and runner's up hairstyles. It's time for a new one IMHO.

This link includes images of the runners ups for male and female as well as current winners.
Several emo/mullet hairstyles for males and childish hairstyles for females.

Voting period has ended on Sep. 6, 2015 at 11:00 pm (PDT) / Sep. 7, 2015 at 6:00 (GMT). It is currently 6/16/2021. It's time for a new talent and new imagines from talented artists!

-Hold a separate contest just for Viera and Hrothgar, or make the contest focused on those two races but I think it would difficult since Hrothgar can't use the aesthetician to change their hair..

I am hoping there is another hairstyle contest - And hope people don't vote for an entry only bc they like the art style- that's why all of the hairs we have are just an assembly line of ugly, short & bad hairstyles
I want to design hair concepts for both genders- SE has to be aware that players are asking for more hairstyle variety, NPC hairs & facial hair/ stubble

Yeah I too want to wait 2 years to get nothing else than cute winner hairstyles when every patch drops to get a hairstyle that I know what it will be or won't even like. They should just start getting creative and make more than only one hairstyle. We used to get like 2-4 in the good old days. They should only make it 3 winners or so who will get their hairstyle made, not 10+.

After what the first hairstyle competition brought us, I'd rather the development team just take the approach of adding hairstyles based off of other Final Fantasy games such as what they did with the Type-0 hairstyles. Such an approach added multiple hairstyles that I like and use whereas I give pretty much all the competition winners a hard pass due to most of them being overly feminine or androgynous in nature. An aesthetic I don't care for out of personal preference.

Well said! I agree with you- too many androg hairstyles and ill add that many of the feminine hairstyles look more akin to a child's hairstyle. I do wish they'd add hairstyles based off of characters from past squaresoft/enix games! I specifically would enjoy some of the hairstyles from "The Bouncer" - weird game, but the character designs were super fun.

+1 to having hairstyles from other final fantasy games
The type-0 hairs are really bad but I really hoped the design team would eventually implement other character hairs- I really Want Beatrix from FF9, Tifa Lockhearts original hairstyle or Garnet's hairstyle; even hairstyles from Crystal Chronicles- they look really good & have a range of short & long styles.

We have Cloud's hair, Lightning, Snow & Noctis' hair- I'd be up for just opting out of the existing contest hairs for more hairstyles from the other final fantasy games
So, I would pay to have Tifa's long hair
Aside from that; I just want a feminine long hair just like Gaia's hair- she has pretty bangs, her hair is clean & wavy & beautifully LONG.

Even though the hairstyles added are mostly feminine, they aren't any good either. So, it's like getting drip fed something you don't want because it doesn't look good.
