But I personally am not flaming you for that post. I never was and never did. Do I think your reaction to someone having it as their signature was absurd? YES. Do I think your suggestion was perfectly fine and was tailor made around a specific problem that I have NEVER experienced? Yes. Do I think in the current climate it sucks? Also yes.

Regardless, I think this conversation has shown that once heated, you lack the ability to read people's conversations in the context of the conversation, and jump to assume that everyone is out to attack you when they're not. I'd still like an apology for the extremely disingenuous and poor-taste framing of my conversation with Vahlnir.

Or rather, once it gets brought up (especially when ripped from the context of the post) it turns into a flame war against me and I'm getting tired of some random idiot on the forums pointing to a four year old post and then people going "YOU ARE THE SPAWN OF ZODIARK AND MUST BE PURGED LIKE THE ASCIAN YOU ARE!". How tolerant would YOU be of people doing that EVERY SINGLE TIME someone quotes a four year old post?

Pretty tolerant, though everyone reacts to things differently and how I react is nothing like how you or the next person would react. For example - about 2 years ago I called out an extremely popular vine influencer who moved over to tiktok of being a groomer of underage children and proceeded to get stalked and harassed by her godfather for months afterwards. (Tish Simmonds, btdubs). I handled it fine - which isn't to say that someone who doesn't handle it fine is less capable or any worse or better than me.

We all handle things differently, so asking "How would *you* feel if X" doesn't really fly.

There was no context necessary for the post as it was, in the context of the *conversation* unnecessary - and if anyone wanted to see context for the post itself, they could simply click.

How often are they doing it because they now know they can get a rise out of you every time?

Learn to ignore the baiters who enjoy inciting drama. You had what appeared to be a solid suggestion at the time based on the housing situation at the time. Whether or not SE implemented because they saw your suggestion in the forum or they had already been considering it independently, they also felt it had merit as a solution. That it is now part of the game is ultimately SE's responsibility, not yours.

The best response to the baiters is no response at all. If they stop getting a reaction out of you, they will get bored and find someone else to target.
