Where does it say we can't exchange them after the period? After you follow the link? That's not an in-game announcement.
I knew when it would end the entire time. I did *not* know that (unlike EVERY other moogle trove) there would be zero grace period to exchange after the event was over...
So it's SE's fault that people chose not to inform themselves when they could have simply followed that link to inform themselves...Where does it say we can't exchange them after the period? After you follow the link? That's not an in-game announcement.

I'm gonna take a page out from another developer...
Don't you guys have phones? This info could have been obtained with a couple minutes time. Anyone on PC has even less of an excuse as they could highlight, CTRL + C, gone to their browser of choice, CTRL + V/right click paste and would have saw the pertinent info.
At any point anyone; upon logging in, should have seen that message. The fact that people chose to disregard where they could find details is the fault of those that chose to disregard. Not mine, not someone else's, and not SE's.
Edit
And it's not being condescending to point out that the info was readily given to people. It was online, it was in the launcher, and it was ingame. It's simply holding people accountable to their actions/choices.

Yep. And there's a link within that message which provided players with more details.
And neither of these take away from the fact that these details were given. You, and some others, just chose not to look at them. They implement these advertisements with the assumption that players actually read this stuff. You and others made a mistake. That's okay. Seriously, it is. There's a lesson to be learned here, and hopefully it was learned for the next time there's an event of any sort.
Can you read????
I am asking how that is an IN-GAME announcement?? I play a on a mother-effing console, I can't copy/paste that sh*t into a browser... Why am I not surprised you play on a PC and assume everyone has the same experience as you? "Master Race"...
Yep. It was there, the link that provides players with more details. I don't play on PC by the way, though I do have one to browse and such. I play on console. The console version (PS4/5) also opens up its own browser from the launcher or the help desk.
Quit acting like a spoiled child. Learn to read end dates for events. Don't make assumptions that everything will be the same as before, even if "it's always been like that".
Events will go much smoother for you if you do.
People pointing out a very basic fact of life - learn to read, take self responsibility to inform yourself - is not being condescending or rude. I deal with people like you all the time at work, who act like somehow it's the worker's/company's fault when you don't take the time to read fine print and inform yourself. Grow up and stop expecting spoon feeding.
