Look, you can show me examples of where they announced the no-spending-after-period thing all you want.

I'm pissed at the design. It's pointless to take away the exchange after the event - they didn't do that for any others.

Telling me "you should learn to pay attention" is not solving the crappy design of the post-event exchange. It's also not making me less pissed.

I could go into tons of reasons for why I missed that disclaimer like "they put it as a bullet at the end of the page" - but that goes more into Web site design. I'm specifically saying that it's stupid to design the Moogle Treasure trove the same way until you do it for Fanfest, then change it up.
