Sadly what SE and some people don't remember or know is that..... people don't read. 80% of the debates and fights on this very forum wouldn't happen if people READ instead of reacting out of emotions. :c
If you actually read the forum. Both on page 1.

As with most things in life, it is your own responsibility to be educate yourself and do due diligence.
Taxes? How to apply to college? Job interviews? And yes, even a limited-time currency in a fantasy game.
If you actually read the forum. Both on page 1.

Before you log in, Read The Dam News on the Front Page. This way you wont be surprised or confused when something is going on in game, how you can participate, what it is, and if it has prizes you might want. Any rules? ALL of these things are written in the news. Bloody take a moment to actually read it! If you do, then you wont be suprised or confused...unless they literally forget to mention something. It's not IN-GAME that's the issue. Not that I expect this forum to know any common sense anymore.I mean, on the first page of these general discussion forums there was(and still is) a post telling people to use them...and TONS of people visit the Lodestone daily. Not making sure you yourself are informed is not the problem of the developers, and demanding stuff because you fail to inform yourself...yeesh
It IS in game. When you first log in there is the bright purple text (Or whatever color you made it) that says "Welcome to FFXIV!" and a bunch of gibberish about the event-- well, was. Its over now.

I don't waste my time clicking on the ads in the launcher or copying URL links to get scammed. Some people (like me) actually play the game instead of going on the forums or Twitter to spend an entire hour reading about one event. Guess the same cannot be said of the professional forum users.
Then you don't get the right to complain about missing out when the information was presented to you in MULTIPLE ways, even in-game as well.
