Oop. I even saw the thread here and was like "oh I probably have time" lmao... if I hadn't I definitely wouldn't have even been aware there wasn't a grace period, and I definitely didn't catch any reminders that the event was ending this week and I DO usually read the announcements. Whoops.

I'm in sort of an "oh well" category, I kiiiinda wanted the ring but meh, half my gloves hide those anyway...

But yeah, it would be nice to still be able to spend the tomes I do have. Even if it's next time the moogle event rolls around. Should people have paid more attention? Sure. But does it hurt anyone to give like, a couple extra weeks grace to spend down to none? No. It really doesn't.

There absolutely was a message in game. They gave the Moogle Tome website link for weeks and everything was outlined there. They do the same thing with new content and patch notes.

I have 60 pageantry tomestones and when I woke up today I realized I can't even trade it in. No one told me that you can't trade in pageantry tomestones after the event and there is literally NO message in the game telling you you can't do so after the event is over. The moogle tomestone shops still allow you to trade in tomestones from previous events. This is highly misleading and is a super shady business tactic. Reopen the pageantry store now. There is no reason not to especially since the past events are all the same. Developers please do it immediately and next time before you pull something like this on the players at least write it in the game not some website that no one visits.

Just so you know, there's a message every time you log in like "Enjoy the Moogle blah blah event from May 14 to June 14, 2021."

I dont know if these were already mentioned before, but I have to add some points to this topic too (and these points also explain WHY I dont know if they were brought up before, too, so pls dont shitpost the hell out of me, as I am only trying to be "heared" and so I guessed the official forum is the best address to be...)

Please give us another chance to spend them. There are ppl (like myself) - working in 3 shifts and/or on weekends AND have real life responsibilities for family members - who just aren't able to be super up to date regarding such time-frames, letting alone reading/remembering some small texts on the lodestone post or ingame when logging in, when you want to actually play the game if you got time, and not to read up on updates for half an hour before you are good to go.

This is even more reasonable as it was always possible to still exchange mog tomes until the next event after the collection-period of an event was over.

I find it lowkey a kick in our moogle butts (sorry, language!) that it was handled differently this time. And am not alone with it, as it seems, as there are multiple tweets and forum posts saying the same thing like me, at this state it's almost so dissapointing to see these stones in my inventory, that I almost dont even want to login and play anymore.

Yes I am also disapointet of myself, that I did not read carefully enough / remember too, but I think the beforementioned points are valid enough to be reasonable.

Having them farmed in any way we did, invested our time on earnign them, just to have them as "dead currency" now, is, like I said, dissapointing and not fair at all. Always remember, time is limited, it should not been treated as if it's wothless.

Show some empathy and don't always be "against". Better try "with" or "on the same side" for once, real world's hostile enough I think.

well, Artemiz, you can thank people like us for getting Rainmaker put back in the game. d; in fact, go look at my post history. the last time i was here (in 2015) i was "begging and whining" for retainers in the Gold Saucer area.... while people like Artemiz told me "just go back to a city, it's a cheap teleport and takes a couple seconds. you shouldn't whine, i have good time management skills, blah blah blah" ......well, you're welcome.
