    QOL: Mount speed toggle

Sometimes the A Realm Reborn mount speeds make traveling these areas by mount (ground) too fast. But sometimes you do want that extra mount speed, specially for fates and Hunts.

How about an option to toggle mount speed? It could be a command like /mspeed1 /mspeed 2 or /mspeed 3

wait.. so.. It's too fast or it's too slow?

And you can fly in almost all the ARR areas now, which I honestly keep forgetting, but if you need speed that is instantly as fast as you can go and also straight lines.
So if you want to saunter, by all means go ahead. Hit the walk toggle and that affects mount speed as well, but if you need to get somewhere, fly.

Sometimes someone wants to be traveling with a friend who doesn't have the zone speed boost yet and neither has a mount that will hold a passenger. The speed difference ends up annoying as one has to stop to wait for the other to catch up.

There's nothing wrong with suggesting a toggle since it would be optional. Those who want to get places as fast as possible can set the toggle to max speed then ignore it.

Jojoya gets it; but even without it being about a friend who doesn't have the boosted speed, some of us do really enjoy ground travel when situation allows.

Running about on my chocobo I'm always bumping into and getting stuck on stuff. We really feel much zippier than those maps were made for.
A little text command toggle could be a nice QoL indeed.

Nothing wrong with the suggestion. Options are good.

+1 here; some of the ARR sightseeing jumping puzzles are hard to land, doubly so when it goes full speed at the tap of a button.

I think 2-star speed sets the right balance between being realistic and being tolerable for the impatient player.

Maybe if you're mounted and you toggle the walk key you can cycle through mount speeds (walk, gallop, sprint). Then you don't need to go into the option menu or type something for it either.
