There, you can also find linkshells and cross-world linkshells. These are chats you can join that have people with likeminded interests.

You can also visit busy city states and talk in /shout. On most worlds, the busy city state is Limsa Lominsa's Lower Decks, but other locations can be populated sometimes too.

You can setup recruitment for content in Party Finder. The people who join will usually be more social with you because you were not randomly matched with them.

You can also join discord servers. A large amount of the community presence is on there and most discord servers have an "other discord servers" channel.

People only talk in the RP broth....err I mean nightclubs. And even then I don't think there is much talking. Maybe try and afk in limsa for a while, someone will eventually say something.

Most of those in my NN are great as well, but good luck telling Sturm that they aren't terrible everywhere.

Your immediate goal is to find an fc that likes to spam chat. Dump any fc that doesn’t mesh.

Then excuse me for looking at the bigger picture. Most NN are a glorified exclusive chat, where there are mentors abusing kicks, and many giving bad advice. It is a dated system, and should be removed from the game, in my opinion. A new player is better off looking elsewhere for information.

You’ll find most if not all social ineractions in the game outside dungeons. They are usually hectic and fast paced unless everyone uses voice chat.

I’m at the point I just listen to You Tube as I play. Don’t really have friends as I’m in an FC with my family and I stepped away from the RP scene on Balmung. Join the NN on your server and make your own decision if you want ro stay in there.
