Personally, I like to main whatever the newest job is.

When I first joined ARR, I started off as a MNK. As a leveled through MSQ, I didn't really vibe with it so I decided to make a leap and try out WAR. When HW came out, I wanted to try out MCH but I ended up joining a raid group that needed a WAR. From there, I've basically just ended up playing jobs that my raid team needs.

I was able to main RDM throughout Stormblood, and I started as DNC for most of Shadowbringers but now the raid group I'm in needs me back as RDM. Ideally I'd love to go Sage for Endwalker but we will see how that goes.
