Just throw them into a retainer or your saddlebag. You should be able to redeem them next round since they've let you redeem the prior run of the event every time thus far.I am this guy. And it really sucks. Considering the precedent they established. This does seem a tad callus of them. I mean, this really bites. Now what am I supposed to do with 500 of these dumb tokens.
Oh and I am aware it states to be redeemed only during the event. Still feels like a betrayal of my trust.
Now I have to deal with my wife’s reaction when she finds out. She’s got even more than me…
Square very specifically stated that this iteration would not.
It's unfortunate that they didn't give this one a grace period as their event schedule is very misleading in the US. Ends on the 14th! Noooo... ends before half the country is awake and the other is at work.
This is disrespecting the customer, pure and simple.Square very specifically stated that this iteration would not.

They gave a specific date and time it would end, it was explicitly stated on the event page. It ended at the advertised date and time. How is that misleading in any way? Just because people don't pay attention to what they read, it doesn't make it misleading.
It's very easy to overlook the time component. I did get burned on this once but on a seasonal event. At least missing that was only mildly irritating unlike this one where people farmed hundreds of tomes.
They take the event down at the same time across all servers. 7:59 am pdt happens to be 11:59pm in Japan, so the event is actually ending at the tail end of the day for their local playerbase. As a rule of thumb, always assume the event ends a day early so you have a full day available to complete an event and get items off the npcs.Square very specifically stated that this iteration would not.

I'm totally with you lol. I even looked at the page before hand. The first caution said undersized parties weren't going to yield tomestones, so I thought, oh ok cool. Scrolled down and totally missed the warning.I am this guy. And it really sucks. Considering the precedent they established. This does seem a tad callus of them. I mean, this really bites. Guys, we have 6 months until 6.0, what would it hurt for them to open the store for an extra week? Did we mess up. Yes. Does that mean SE can't open the store up one last time? No. It's just a request. There's no need to rub our faces in it. Everyone makes mistakes. There's no harm in asking.
Please SE open up the store, some of us missed this, and it would be greatly appreciated if you gave us one more chance to use our tomestones
Yeah, I don't think it's unreasonable to have assumed this moogle event was going to be like the others and have the store remain open until the next one ended. It was a precedent set over many of them now and only posting that sort of warning on external sources was a bit crummy. Most people that got screwed never had a reason to look at anything other than the moogle store and the duty finder for what they thought they needed to do. If they really wanted to do this they should have at least had a visible timer when talking to the moogle specifically counting towards a "Store Closing".I'm totally with you lol. Thanks for being understanding. I totally get, "you should've read, it's your fault," sentiment from other posters. They're right. It is our fault and we should've known better to read into it. I just thought, because of past events, this one would be the same. There was nothing special about this event to think it wouldn't still be open like the others. I mean I had 600 and I was able to get what I wanted. I was hoping to save the rest for gil or for friends wanting glamour / hairstyles in the future. It is what it is and I accept it's my mistake. Still, it's not a crime to ask SE to please reconsider. No need for the hostility from other posters I think.
