This game doesn't do enough to help people clear Ex/Savage content.

I'm getting sick of seeing it everywhere.

How am I supposed to clear these things when no one will help me finish them in the first place? On the rare occasion that I find a party that doesn't pull this crap, they kick me out after two attempts because "YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE FIGHT!?"

Please don't tell me to set [Practice]. 8 people throwing themselves miserably at a fight and breaking up after 10 minutes doesn't help anything.

Squeenix needs to do something about this instead of making me wait until two expansions later to actually finish the content.

If you can't clear it, then you probably need more practice. Surprise. Stop waiting for others to carry you through something you're not ready for.
Should probably ask friends or FC to help if literally no one is joining.

Savage tends to have the most activity when a tier drops. While it's possible to find practice parties later, most have already gotten what they've needed from it by now so you're going to be fighting an uphill battle.

I'm sure you'll get a chance to push into it if you keep at it, but pretty much all you can do is check the Balance (or other related sources) for the best class information you can get, continue to improve yourself, and keep forming/joining parties as you are able.

I assume this was a farm party then, if they expected you to have finished the fight? They probably should have put restrictions, in that case.

When I was more active with extremes, I've seen parties like these where nobody will speak up about anything, until after a couple wipes when the tension starts getting high, and then, only then, after a couple wipes will they will start admitting to issues like not knowing certain mechanics, etc.

I am not saying the OP did that either. Whoever formed that party in the PF should have put clear restrictions if they actually expected to farm, or get an easy clear at the least. Without certain restrictions, players will join PF regardless of whatever is put in the PF description, that's why they are needed. Even with the restrictions it still doesn't guarantee a clear of any sort. At least back when I did Extremes more often, they require a certain level of teamwork, effort, and a knowledge of (most) mechanics, maybe not as much as Savage, but it's still required to an extent.

That's an idea! Square enix should start giving free monthly subs to people that carry others through Savage and Ultimates.

The casuals are carried. The good players are rewarded. And you combat RMT all in one fell cleave.

Yes, make a [Practice] party. If you want people to be at a certain phase (such as past the first few mechanics), say that in the description.

If you want more competent players, it can help to increase the item level requirement. It's currently easy to get item level 520 on a fresh level 80, but most people won't unless they are generally being competent.
