it would show players that their damage is bad and that they'd need to improve it, it'd show arrogant players that boast about their insane damage - while they're doing less than the two healers - that they're in fact dragging everyone else down and hopefully make them rethink their behaviour and get them to improve their performance
No one likes being stuck in a party with someone like your example, but an “official” parser isn’t going to fix that scenario. It’s just going to enable toxic behavior.

A parser won’t teach you how to play better, and I’m not sure why people think that the people who can’t figure out how to play their job, would somehow be able to figure out how to use the data to improve the job they can’t figure out.

I don’t buy into the theory that people don’t want to learn to play optimally, I think a lot of it has to do with the approach people take with them.
