Well screenshots can be faked and don't underestimate the amount of people who hate him for no real reason.
It doesn't sound like something he'd do at all, I mean maybe if we're talking about '' Xe, Xem, Ve, Ver, Xyr '' etc I could maybe see it but not just like trans people or '' they '' etc.
I honestly think that the former is sorta ridiculous too and turns it into a bit of a joke.

If you've ever watched one of his more serious videos on his other channel you'll know that he's usually very level-headed and isn't a hateful person at all.
And he does call out his own community for going after people for being women, trans or their appearance etc.
Even with that deer girl on the Twitch council he did this and went to pretty great lengths to make it clear that his criticism had nothing to do with that persona and that people shouldn't mock her.

Even if someone uses neo-pronouns, there's no reason to harass someone over any pronouns. It's transphobia, plain and simple. If someone thinks its weird, it's not hurting them, so like, they should do as most people should and keep scrolling.
Edit: On re-reading, I understand what you meant. Rather than seeing a case to mock neopronouns, that instead you believe he might have done that before but hasn't towards more common trans terms. My bad for misunderstanding!

Because I think there is a difference.
You can argue that it's irresponsible if you want and I'd probably agree that if you have a large following then you should be careful with that but at the same time you can't expect people with tens to hundreds of thousands of eyes on them almost all day every day to not make mistakes.
No one is that flawless, I mean to put things into perspective just recently one of the biggest Socialist Twitch Streamers blurted out the N-word live on Stream.

It's not Transphobia either, I've never seen him misgender someone who's actually Trans and I'd be *extremely* surprised if I saw that.
Tbh I think that even within LGBTQ communities most people probably think that the hundreds of pronouns are dumb, like at some point it becomes incredibly performative.
That doesn't mean that you hate Trans people or don't acknowledge them or things like non-binary people etc.

To be clear I am not saying it's good, I don't mock people for it I kinda just shrug it off.
But at some point I do think that it becomes dumb and I think that most people would agree even if they're part of the LGBTQ community.
And I also think that if he had someone on Stream that had one of those pronouns he would respect it and he'd tell his community to back off, I am pretty confident about that.

Played since the original FF14 inception but always had it as a sidegame (main WoW, but sub just ran out and i've got no reason to renew it) until a bit over a month ago, and well, I concurr with some posters here concerning the way how some FF14 players view the ones coming from WoW.

Anecdotal? Sure, but I'm not surprised it has left a bad taste with many new players, especially with how fondly the FF14 community is talked about in other games. (gen. speaking)

Just watched some of the highlights. Would say I'm surprised but I'm not. So many people grouping around him ruining the gaming experience. The man has a patience of a saint.

I just hope this didn't spoil his enjoyment and quit cause of people in the FF community had to ruin it.

Excuse me? People in the "FF community" don't necessarily follow the Great Twitch Idol, nor is His presence announced in the Square Enix notes on the Launcher or when you first log in. The only people who would find him would be those who are looking for him, and that's generally going to be the gazillion Twitch followers.

Overall he seems to really enjoy the game and that's great.

Its annoying for people who play on the server. I really hope the Devs make some sort of statement of people following him around. Its ridiculous. At one point it took me 30 minutes just to get back to my server after checking other server MB prices.

FFS let the man play the game and quit congesting our server if all you are going to do is follow him around.

FFXIV players can play both FFXIV & WoW.
They can follow Asmon on social media even if they don't play WoW.
They could have heard that Asmon was coming to FFXIV from FFXIV content creators.
Are those not a part of the FFXIV community?

The behavior displayed last night was mostly caused by FFXIV players with max-level characters. Whether you like it or not, these players are a part of the FFXIV community. Bad actions speak louder than good ones.
