Clearly no. Reaction channels ascended into popularity because people need their opinions validated, or if they don't have one, they need someone to process and elaborate an opinion for them to nod and assent.I still do not understand the admiration for this kind of people. Cannot people think by themselves that need a famous one to dictate their way? Joining won't make any change, as any other content creators hasn't done neither.
Still, he will be welcome. The more players the better.

I do report them, so let’s not assume i don’t okay? Don’t really see how the problem is me if i’m afraid of being banned with the way the ToS is in this game but nice gaslighting. It’s not a secret it sucks. Yes i talk about it on the forums but it’s not complaining, it’s called bringing awareness. Tired of seeing all these people act like the community is a saint when the toxicity is prevalent in this very thread alone. Don’t see how it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy though lmao. Please elaborate. It may exist, but will everyone's experience be dictated by those experiences?
There's a crime in every city, so everyone lock their doors, especially when they're not around, but that doesn't mean everyone has a constant fear of being a victim of a criminal.
If you see someone else being toxic, then report them. You don't fight criminals by merely complaining about them, but not calling the police on them.
And if you're afraid of getting banned, then the problem is more likely you. That's not someone else being toxic. That's you. That said, you're also part of this community as long as you're playing the game. So if you have fear of being banned because of what you may say/do in the game, then it might be a self-fulfilling prophecy to say there is toxicity in the game.
It's not an assumption. It's a general statement. If you report, good. Everyone else should too.
The people doing the gaslighting are those telling people to be quiet or risk getting banned.Don’t really see how the problem is me if i’m afraid of being banned with the way the ToS is in this game but nice gaslighting. It’s not a secret it sucks.
Raising awareness for what reason? If people experience toxicity, they will be aware of it. And if they don't, then it doesn't matter.Yes i talk about it on the forums but it’s not complaining, it’s called bringing awareness. Tired of seeing all these people act like the community is a saint when the toxicity is prevalent in this very thread alone.
And I've never seen anyone acting like the community is a saint. However, it is their experience with the community. And if you're having a different experience with the community, then maybe start to look into why that is the case rather than assuming people are only acting.
And what about this thread? Some people are saying they don't want people who they perceive to be toxic to enter the community. That's not being toxic by itself. That's more fear and suspicion which may be countered by being level-headed and showing how their fear may be unwarranted.
Simply pushing back and calling them toxic doesn't lead to a solution, but just creates more division within the community. And yes, you are part of the community. So if you think some part of the community is not as welcoming as they should be, then simply be the part of the community that is more welcoming. Then try to work out the differences.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy if you're (general you) the one who tend to be toxic and then saying this community has toxicity.Don’t see how it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy though lmao. Please elaborate.
Why are you so afraid of getting banned to the point you won't talk at all? I think the way ToS is being enforced in-game is a little bit exaggerated.I do report them, so let’s not assume i don’t okay? Don’t really see how the problem is me if i’m afraid of being banned with the way the ToS is in this game but nice gaslighting. It’s not a secret it sucks. Oh, they are very strict and active if a person is being problematic enough. Even so, I can chat casually with other players with no problems at all. I just make sure there's no profanity involved and it's not inappropriate. Back when the ToS changes were made to be a bit more...vague in this regard, I too felt this way. But honestly, nothing really changed. Guess it just depends on what people say. It seems like a lot of people forgot these important words of wisdom..."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

My belief is that most people complaining about ToS enforcement are those who can't say a sentence witout cussing or insulting someone. In my circles I never heard of anyone being penalised for "bad labguage".
Big part of Asmongold's chat is really toxic, even to himself, but definitely not everyone (especially if you see his latest tweet). From what I heard and saw recently myself, it seems he was quite toxic in the past, but was maturing for the past few years. Atm he seems reasonable to me even though some of his opinions are funny.

I’m raising awareness so people know what they’re getting into. There’s a reason “gcbtw” is a literal meme. It’s because people claim this is a great community when it’s still just as toxic as the others. I’m not saying other people are lying when they say they don’t experience it. My only gripe is with people saying “oh you must be the problem if you experience it so much.Or you’re lying about it.” Like, no. Just because you don’t experience it as much doesn’t mean someone who does is the problem. That’s gaslighting. Also yes, some of the comments in this thread are toxic. What you described is what we call gatekeeping. That’s not a good thing. It’s especially ironic when the people that are trying to gatekeep from the “toxic” people are the ones being inherently toxic. People love to bash on WoW in this game, yet when WoW people critique 14, they get all defensive and call WoW players so toxic and horrible. Hypocrisy at its finest. It's not an assumption. It's a general statement. If you report, good. Everyone else should too.

Sorry, "gatekeeping" as you call it is irrelevant unless you actually do something. You can't stop people from playing the game. It's one thing to express your dislike of someone coming into the community because of fear what toxicity that someone may bring to the community. It's another thing to actually do something to harass that person in game so that person will quit the game (or harass that person in social media so they won't start). Only the latter is actually being toxic.I’m raising awareness so people know what they’re getting into. There’s a reason “gcbtw” is a literal meme. GCBTW is a meme for a stupid reason because of people who have to make everyone aware that somehow a great community doesn't mean it's perfect. Well, duh. People act like they're surprised when there are people in the community that are not as good as the community image and then try to point that out to the entire community.

I think the funny part of GCBTW comes from that people who actively broadcast how good FF14 always point how the community isnt toxic and is much better than WoW -- even though a majority of the community over laps and has some similar toxic aspects to it.GCBTW is a meme for a stupid reason because of people who have to make everyone aware that somehow a great community doesn't mean it's perfect. Its a meme because people overpromote something.
14 tends to attract a certain personality. A personality that is usual kept in check by getting dunked on by other people. However, in 14 the ToS protects this type of person. This fosters growth of said personality until it becomes a toxic mass. The toxic mass is afraid on getting dunked on, and so reee in response. This thread is evidence.
