Legacy Chocobo

I've been a player since very close to launch and boy do i kick myself every time i think of how i should have subbed in 1.0. The interesting thing is i NEVER see people riding the Legacy chocobo though so I'm genuinely curious about peoples (especially any legacy players still playing) thoughts on allowing non legacy players to purchase this mount and only this mount

Atomos was a fresh start server so I'd imagine players that own the legacy chocobo are rather rare, for many years the only 1.0 players you'd have had are those that have paid to transfer.

Same situation for me. I've only ever seen one legacy mount, the old goobbue, and I've been around since about patch 2.1.

Siren was also a fresh server.

1.0 servers are subtitled (Legacy).

Balmung, Sargatanas, etc.

And for a couple years, legacy players could only move to another legacy server


You cant buy something the rest of us experienced. The legacy Chocobo plumage is darkened from the ashes of the calamity. It's unique to those of us who experienced it first hand.

They aren't going to add that experience back for you. 1.0 is dead and gone, and good riddance, but you can't take away the experience of the ending. As much as I hated 1.0, the ending still has a special place in my memories, and seeing people beg for 1.0 stuff who were never there and decided not to play because it was bad rather upsets me a bit.

Considering how upset people got about the earing situation a couple years ago, i highly doubt that any more legacy items will find their way back into the game. I didnt earn them, so im fine not having them.

I remember that I was brand new at the time! I had no idea why people were so mad I could get a rather unimpressive looking earring. It was the first earring glamour I ever had. Swap me the earrings for the birb xD

The legacy tattoo is a specific design on the base of the neck / back area for characters transferred in to ARR from 1.0, distinct from the racial tattoo options available to all characters

No. If a promise was made that this was specifically for Legacy players. Then that is what it is.

I'd love for it to be added, I love all things chocobo! The only thing's I actively try to collect in this game is the bardings for my beloved birb. I have not once seen a person using that mount but I would absolutely love it.
