Might have melded two concepts together (I was replying to you specifically on the legacy chocobo is company chocobo, less on the sharing topic itself), the Legacy Chocobo, imo, is our company chocobo separated because of some coding issue FFXIV had at the time and this was easy solution (because dang-it it's the same dang bird lol!). I'd prefer the black wing tips and tattoo then were a toggle, just like our own, and then the barding be barding (rather than a whole separate mount).

Then onto the whole selling it on the shop thing, on a personal level I don't really care, it's been a long time and I feel well thanked credits, mount, price discount, etc (losing, like the price discount being revoked, would be upsetting, but sharing the chocobo doesn't really bother me given that it's been so long, that's just a personal statement). Though I would certainly see this being about, if not more, unpopular than when the white raven thing happened. I was surprised they did that one. My general horse (chocobo?) in this race being do what you said to players, but don't say you'll make things permanently exclusive (timed exclusivity is okay, but ideally I don't really like seeing permanent exclusivity). The impression I had of white ravens were they were a once in a life time thing, which added to my surprise when they were made available.

Not particularly true. I amended my statement to wanting the overall look of it, not the thing itself. I don't want the tattoo on the beak, I don't even really care for the colours but I love the more traditional barding and longer tail feathers and I was hoping to get that sort of thing and the legacy chocobo ticks those boxes for me.

I 100% agree and love the sentiment that is a thank you to the long time veterans and i wouldnt want to take that away from them but my original request for it is because i want something LIKE it, not IT itself.

Something "in the vein" of X, seems like a reasonable request. Like the Gobbuee happened.

They clearly like making bardings, so requesting that seems fair. As for the feathers that one would be a bit more challenge, but I, personally hope they do a chocobo update where in then chocobo feathers (among other things) could become a sort of content. Exactly. The last thing i want to do is take away from the Legacy guys, they supported this game when no one else did, I watched it die knowing it would be reborn so i didn't ever sub but damn I wish I did. I feel like it's not THAT unreasonable to ask for Barding that looks very similar to the traditional stuff and man do i LOVE your post and ideas where they could take the Chocobo in the future but sadly I feel like the development team has forgotten the iconic bird.
