I mean, they cant relive it. The experience is not going to be there. The feeling isn't there.

They could make it a sequence though- go to sleep in bed, wake up with relic on bed, fall through room to Atomos eating an Aetheryte, clear Aethertyte, touch it, teleport to the green highlands, wander around with big moon in background, do some kingdom hearts like panning, plop them onto the Nael Van Darnus platform, fight, win, wake up in bed, heck it, get chocobo from underneath bed.

To be honest though with all that work, one might create it as a public event on an anniversary day first (free) only so players could enjoy that work together. Certainly it's easier to suggest to allow players to get to relive the event than it is to make an event for players to get to enjoy.

I understand you're saying they can't relive it exactly, but wasn't really the point I think- it was just to give it some back story. I can vaguely explain all of FFXIV in less than 5 minutes, enough that someone will 'get it' starting in Shadowbringer, but of course they wont get it like someone who played all 100+ hours of MSQ. Yet that 5 mins would make a much larger impact than 0 mins lol. Difference from getting an item in the mail and getting a little exposition first. Sure it wont be exactly the same, and in some ways that's probably a good thing lol, maybe make the players go through the old market wards. . . . :3.

The chocobo wandered around for 5 years waiting for you to return.... That's not something someone buying it gets.

Just toss it into Althyk's pocket dimension for a little while, no big deal. Don't tell PETA .
