On the subject of chocobo I still, personally and I know this is relatively silly, wish the chocobo was barding and a tattoo toggle. My birb is my birb, and the mark is on my birb, and the barding is what goes ON MY BIRB! lol. That it's an entirely separate mount is a minor mental gymnastic I don't particularly appreciate XD. More tangent I feel the multi-color magitek could have been represented with a garage system and keys over just a new mount for every color, would make more in game lore sense if we could just paint these bad boys *slaps hood of mammet fueled magitek*.

As for topic I generally think it wouldn't go down well for some as I'm fairly certain this was one of the items they were more like "once and gone". That said I'm not really big into one and done, and we've had a huge period of exclusivity. Also we've other major benefits still so, still special lol. Personally would be okay if it was brought out of the vault, I just want to predeclare there would be some disgruntled.

Like Varilyon said though it would be way more epic if you get to relive some of it- seeing the moon in the sky again with the awesome skybox, instance of the city being attacked, that would be quite cool. Personally, in discussion of that, and man I love tangents lol, they should strongly consider this in general. Sell, maybe on their specific seasonal days, seasonal packages, fair price, comes with the quest and related content- allow players to enjoy the event itself (potential problems for the 2player valentine event, may need npc....).
