Legacy Chocobo

As a legacy player: sure sell them.

But it would be wrong to just sell the chocobo and the gobbue (yes, in 1.x WE also got a gobbue).
There should be a whole little storyline you could buy. Reliving the final days and beating Neal van Darnus. Coil is very different. After you relive all the old tales with Louisoix, you could unlock the chocobo.

Yoshi-P gave us way more than those two mounts. Next to the tattoo there is a cheaper subscription. We get a 8 character account by the price of 1 (I only use one). Furthermore if you meet him in person he is so nice and thankful for the old players. Lastly my name is in the ARR credits.

So even without mounts we get the appreciation.

See, I would LOVE to play through that sort of experience to earn the Chocobo, even if I had to pay for access to that experience too.

There are plenty of mounts and items that can be had in the game now. Not going to be the same really watching a CS. It was an experience like no other in a game.

I have played this game since day 1 2010 the closed Alpha I have a lot of memories the game has changed so much and has been discovered, now it is not the same.

I have a lot of money and time invested so please do not cheapen the few items that we have.

The game has plenty of Fluff and I always use my Legacy chocobo and at times I forget about mounts because way back we had to run everywhere as there where none.

No, while I can see some exclusives come back to the game but the legacy mount and tattoo should remain exclusive to those 5 people who did play 1.0.

There where a lot more than 5 people go look in the credits at the end of the game or the old forums and on youtube there are a lot of old videos.

I seem to have very much upset you Luluna. I apologise. I guess I'll just go 'find another mount' Thanks to everyone else who replied it's interesting to see the mixed responses I can see why some might want it to be their own special item, I guess I dont really feel that even with my Garo and Hellhound mounts that i earned through pvp.

I personally would love to get that mount or at least something like it, I dont really like any of the current barding and the ones i DO like cover the wings. I possibly just want a more 'traditional' barding, longer tail feathers and more robust colour altering system for the Chocobo so I could make something similar but not actually having something Legacy players have.

I can understand what you are saying. If they add similar items they should be named and obviously have difference. They did add another Goobue that was similar to the Legacy one.

They also should be free as the cash shop gets a lot of money already.

Sorry, maybe I'm defensive because of the lashing I got from Reddit. I think it's just a problem that I have with the Chocobo mount in general, it's such an Iconic mount that it doesn't really get the love it deserves. I know i has ALOT of customisation in the way of barding and colour mixing but I think it would have been awesome to have it to the level of customising feather length, give it a battle scar if you want, choose more tradition barding that doesn't cover so much of the magnificent bird. THATS why i love the LEgacy Chocobo so much because it's such a beautiful representation of a Final Fantasy Icon.
