I remember people saying SWTOR will never have issues "these old MMOs have".

Go visit and live in some third-world country for a couple of years. Then cry about stufff. People's sense of entitlement is annoying. Crap happens, learn to deal with it, carry-on with life.
I agree with both sides of this argument. I was pissed, then I got over it. The one thing I will say is that I would rather SE just schedule a full 24 hour period to implement the patch and deal with most of the bugs rather than saying its going to take X amount of hours and then having to perform multiple emergency patches over the following few days. I understand that some of the problems can't really be addressed until servers are repopulated and stressed, but it just seems like they estimate on the low end as far as how much time its going to take them and they always end up disappointing people. If you don't have a hard time budgeting time to play, then its harder to understand the frustration that comes with planning a 6 hour period to play a few days in advance only to have emergency down time pop up right as you sit down to play. My girlfriend f'ing hates this game...you have no idea the lies I have to juggle to get a solid 5 hours of play time in and still manage to get laid that week. Its stressful ya dig? Hope this adds some perspective ;-)
Calm down. Don't act like you have it that bad! =D Do you know how many US MMORPGs put their maintenance during the prime time of Asian, SEA, and Oceanic players? Every Tuesday around 6:00pm+ there is basically no (western) MMORPG to play.
Perhaps you're just really unlucky with all of the emergency maintenance falling on your break days.
Do you know how many online games base themselves around pleasing US Citizens over the rest of the world (obv. we don't exist)?

Using the time to formulate Garuda strats that we will use tommrow = productive. Plus they just merged servers and this is the first major content patch that confined several hundred players into 2 small caves in Cortheas servers have never seen this load sense first day the game came live. Was totally expecting some sort of server meltdown to happen... specially when you have your serves built in LQ China....
I use this time to sleep.
This is allll a dream.....
Nothing else could explain the logic of the conversations here on the lodestone...
This isn't some misguided sense of entitlement. We pay good money to have this game running when we want to play it, not have a half-complete job that breaks down within a day of a patch. They should have released a patch that works - where is the quality control here? Would you pay for a iPhone that is down 4 hours after the day you leave store? How many people will drive a new car that breaks down every so often?
Why are you guys so fervently defending a crappy piece of software and a honestly crappy team that keeps you hooked with substandard software? I am playing this game because I love the FF series and the promise it held. And this game has failed to deliver on the high expectations its predecessors have set. No flippant "We apologise for any inconvenience caused" will make it better. I want my subscription money back.
Unsubscribe then
It's your opinion and we're all entitled to our own I guess.
If you feel so unhappy just remember that /no one is forcing you to stay subscribed/.
