I stated that I appreciate the work that is being done, if I didn't, I would not continue to play the game. My concern is the constant unscheduled down time with the game. Players pay the play the game and we all know maintenance is necessary. We all schedule our free time around the maintenance when it is scheduled to occur. Recently however, it is FFXIV has seen more unscheduled "Emergency Maintenance" than scheduled maintenance, effectively disrupting the playtime of players who arrange their play time accordingly.

As far as getting the patch out before "Golden Week," who cares? I would have gladly waited a week for a great patch with no unscheduled down time. Everyone deserves a vacation, why double the work load before you leave? If the patch was no ready for release, it should have been delayed and released at the appropriate time.
Problems have only started since 1.21 and the server merge. Two points do not make a trend.
