You have no idea what impact the coronavirus had on the development team. And again Ultimate is a different freaking team from the glamour teams, for crying out loud. How many times do people have to tell you this for you to understand? Different teams work at different paces. Different teams will have had different impacts from not being able to work from the office. Unless you work at SE you have no idea what the workflow situation is like. Content drought, are you serious? We have new content and events coming out every month until Endwalker except maybe October. There's a MASSIVE amount of stuff to do in the game, new content or otherwise. It's not SE's fault if you burn through the relic grind in a couple weeks and then complain to have nothing to do. Good lord, it's like you have nothing to say unless it's whining.

Just to add on to this, working on character models and art assets is also probably one of the areas of development least likely to get impacted by work from home orders. Other than approval passes it doesn't require anywhere near the level of testing and QA as combat related content. Heck, it doesn't even require actually having a running game client until you're at a point where you need to see how it looks in engine in game.

I'm struggling to think of what content was cut pre Covid tbh 5.0 - 5.2 wasn't missing anything outside of a Eureka zone equivalent by 5.2 of memory serves me correctly we still have the trial fight (plus an extra ex in 5.2 with memoria miseria) the two savage tiers, the first planned ultimate, first alliance raid, only other thing we didn't have that previous expansions had by x.2 would be the 2nd patch dungeon. Combat wise thier wasn't much missing in the original x.0 to x.2 period. If I did miss something however I don't mind being proven wrong but I'm not seeing this massive content cut everyone mentions when they talk about pre covid

Dungeons were already confirmed to be cut before covid started. Deep dungeon as well. Ruby weapon had no voice acting while byakko did in sb. Nier raid wasn’t voice acted while ivalice was in SB. Level 50,60,70 primal weapons missing from Gnb and Dnc. Gnb and Dnc not getting a unique Ultimate weapon model like rdm and sam. Technically SB also had 2 extra trials. Yojimbo and Rathalos(but those aren’t 4.1 or 4.2 so i digress).

Technically the 1 dng per patch started in 4.4 with the Burn and VA isn't universal so I'm not exactly counting that as cut content necessarily but primal weapons and ult weapons I completely agree with it's a strange oversight tbh

4.4 had two dungeons. The burn and saint mociannes(hard).

Still nearly no representation for Ala Mhigan side of the story or characters.
Years later & we still don't have some of the arguably better gear sets introduced in Stormblood.

We got her red jacket which is the best outfit imo. So we didn't miss out. :c

We do at least get the Ala Mhigan gearsets in-game – the ones actually named that and a few earlier desert-themed sets. And they're dyeable and we get multiple turns at them with the designs switched around!

Also while not strictly designated as Ala Mhigan, the Constellation relic gear for AST has a similar style to Lyse's "traditional Ala Mhigan dress".

There's probably no price I wouldn't pay for that Griffin outfit though. That set is amazing. Would love to see it made available.
