    Crafting QOL Improvements

A few suggestions for making crafting/gathering even more enjoyable in this game:

    1) Allow us to switch crafting professions while crafting without having to close the entire interface, reopen the interface, locate the item you were wanting to craft, and then repeat this process. This is especially tedious when you need to craft multiple components in order to craft an item.

    2) Allow us to use Cordial pots when gathering, this is especially helpful when we open timed nodes if we have forgotten to use a Cordial before accessing. You can't close the node to use a Cordial otherwise the node will disappear.

    3) This recommendation will benefit not just gatherers but also all jobs as well. Please incorporate the ability to auto dismount when we use an ability. Having to click on a mount in order to dismount is just an additional step to process instead of being able to just jump into a battle.

    4) Allow us to move inventory items around in our bags regardless of what activity our character might be doing. Being told I can't move an item in my bags because my character is busy is annoying. I shouldn't be restricted to only being able to moving items around when my character is idle. If miners and botanists can move items around in inventory while gathering, why can't I move items around while fighting, crafting, or fishing?!

I will edit this as I come up with more ideas...

1, 3, and 4 would be great, but 2 is almost certainly intentional. They don't want people using cordials to get 1200 GP on a single node.

Right, but that still involves pressing an extra button to dismount first, rather than just auto-dismounting when using an ability on an enemy.

3: Because it's impossible to mount while in combat, it's safer to require you to explicitly dismount before initiating combat. You can either require explicit dismounting and prevent people from getting stuck in unintentional combat, or you can allow implicit dismounting and make people deal with getting stuck in unintentional combat. If we're talking about quality of life, preventing people getting stuck in unintentional combat is better than allowing people the convenience of an implicit dismount. This is even more true since they doubled the deaggro distance several patches ago. Getting stuck in combat unable to mount and having to run on foot far enough to deaggro while also avoiding aggroing anything new sucks.

4: This can't be helped because of how the various inventories are stored, accessed, and updated in the database servers. They would have to recode the entire inventory access system to allow less restricted access while maintaining data fidelity. Whenever they don't let you do something inventory or collections related while doing something else, it's because allowing you to do the thing while doing the other thing could produce a data interaction that they did not have the foresight to handle when they first wrote the system.

Most games where you cannot mount in combat have auto dismount upon use of an offensive ability.

I auto dismount talking to an NPC, why can't i when i want to attack something? It's a pain in the butt when my mount is on an obscure button.

And in those games, if that offensive action was unintentional, you're now stuck on foot until you kill the thing or you deaggro it.

Because the majority of NPC interactions are outside of enemy aggro radii and it's generally safe to dismount to talk to them. Exceptions exist, but they are exceptions.

    The draw/sheathe weapon button dismounts.

Why would you target an enemy to use an offensive action while mounted?

Could do what EQ2 does. Stay mounted in combat but run at on foot speeds :P

To see exactly which way it's facing so you can run past it without aggroing it.
