    Chat Filters Saved to HUD

Okay, I've wanted this for so long. Many probably would like it.

We can save up to 4 different HUD layouts.
Like I have one currently for solo play, one for when I'm in a Dungeon or Raid, one for Healing, etc.

We are so limited in the chat we have right now. Can't we make it so the filters are saved to a HUD? So when you change the HUD, you change the chat.

Honestly, it would make life so much easier. Even better if instead we simply could save four chat layouts like the HUD does.

All that can be done now is either gob stuff together into one of the four tabs, or try to combine stuff that doesn't happen at the same time.

Even a 5th chat tab would be hugely appreciated, if nothing else in this suggestion could be done.

I wouldn't say no to a fifth chat tab, but I'm curious: how do you have your filters set up now, and what would you move to a fifth tab if it were available?

    I have:
    • Pane 1 tab 1 - General: emote, say, shout, novice, system messages, tells, NPC dialog
    • Pane 1 tab 2 - Battle: combat messages
    • Pane 1 tab 3 - Event: NPC dialog (only, so that I don't need to scroll through general if I miss something)
    • Pane 2 - Social: FC, LS

If I had a fifth chat tab, I struggle to think of what I would do with it besides maybe move novice to it.

Active Linkshells and an FC can start to drown one another out.

I am more in favor of saving them with a macro option to switch. The same way the HUD layouts work.

That way if I'm just hanging out in a Hub area talking, I can use General for local stuff going on around me, Battle for Linkshells, Event for Crossworld Linkshells, and the final tab for my FC.

But then if I go into a dungeon or raid, I can get the battle one back to normal instead.

There really doesn't seem to be a reason why console can't support another tab, or the ability to save/restore filters the same way HUD does.

I mean, if a PC modder can give us something that honestly looks like it'd work wonderfully, then why can't the console players just get something as basic as saving different filter setups, for different situations?

I mean, the one called Gobchat looks pretty nice. Fully aware it might not be something SE wishes to implement. But at the same time, it seems like we could get at least a slight bit more.
