Even though I'm still disappointed we don't get chemist, I'm more at peace now since it's been confirmed that they did intend to make chemist at first. Shame it wasn't working.

They also intended to make Chemist in Heavensward.
It was one of the first jobs they worked on.
It just ended up evolving into AST and MCH.
They seem surprisingly diligent about making Chemist happen.

Personally, I would be very disappointed if chemist became a DPS.

Historically in Final Fantasy it has almost NEVER been a DPS, and even when it could, it wasn't the primary goal. Plus, if it ended up being a dps, it would have to have a LOT of support, which would further push Bard and Dancer out of the way. It would be better if it joined up with Astrologian, giving the healers another support based healer.

I really want to see Bard get more of its utility back, and I don't think it would do the game any justice if it were in the way as a DPS. It needs to be a healer, and only a healer as its primary goal. That way we can form a niche and leave the other support DPS's to continue to get better as time goes on.

"Countless" might be a strong word, but there has been at least a little demand for something like this.

It would be a waste of time to ask that now of all times, when they're in the process of adding male viera, female hrothgar, and still mentioned adding something for the races as response to the hairstyle complaints.

He's said he doesn't think they can add any more races. Doesn't that answer requests for a specific race by default?

On top of this, heck, in the interview doesn't he go on to say they were finished with races after adding male Hroth and female Viera?
As much as I'm behind Ivalician Moogles I'm not sure we can expect anything other than a "no." : (

No, that leaves the possibility in the future. I'd prefer a solid "no". We don't need any more races, and we definitely don't need a furry small race.
