    Cool story, troll.

Side question, does the "prime number" mechanic register if your HP is set to 2, 3, or 5 without adding? Because I could've sworn the mechanic requires the player to actually stand in a number circle to add up. If that's the case, then it wouldn't matter if 1 is a prime number or not, because you just wouldn't be doing the mechanic. But I can't remember if that's how it's supposed to work or not.

You don't have to stand in a circle if you have a prime value as your hp.

If the hp you were subtracted to is the correct answer for any of the math problems, then standing outside the circles is accepted as the answer by the game. So if for example you get set to 3, then standing outside works for either prime or divisible by 3.

No, you don't have to stand in a circle for the mechanic to succeed. If your HP is already a number that fits the requirement, then you get the check mark standing outside.

The one thing about old raids I still think ought to be changed are things like the stack markers on Xande in Syrcus (and other such examples like that, if there's any I've forgotten)

I do remember someone saying that Yoshi once called for a "unification" of sorts on the way enemy attack markers looked, such that things like stack mechanics would always be recognizable. And yet, they didn't go back to make that change to Xande's stack markers... meaning to this day, you still regularly see people running away with their markers and dying, probably largely due to them not even realizing it was a stack marker.

You're correct in that the simplified version just leads people to come to wrong conclusions and shouldn't be taught. Prime numbers aren't really important to the math being taught at grade school level and can probably be a subject held off until middle or high school level math when the students can better grasp the concept of what they are, why they're important, and what constitutes a prime. But the problem here was that the OP, after people tried to educate on the misunderstanding was still arguing that their wrong opinions why 1 should be considered prime were just as valid as the facts proving that it is not.
Yeah, I've already reached the conclusion that the OP is either a troll or deliberately obtuse a while ago.

At this point I'm just participating in the general discourse and referring back to my own experiences about what I was taught about prime numbers (and how I think it could be the reason why some people might legitimately think 1 is a prime until told otherwise)

Because this is the same person who started a thread complaining that "November isn't fall!" Which sparked the comparison of "1 is a prime number!" and failure to accept they're wrong when faced with facts and move on.
Oh damn, it was the same person? I didn't even realize that.

I only used that as an example because I remember seeing it here recently and it built up a rather infamous reputation. But now the reason why that topic continued to be discussed here is clearer...

Astronomically it's not. "Meteorological" summer only exists for the convenience of meteorologists. The distinction is important, because the astronomical event of the Earth being tilted further or closer to the sun is what actually determines the seasons. Meteorologists just wanna dice up the calendar neatly.

That's why I said meteorological and not astronomically. This is such a hilarious point people get upset about lmao.
Ok yeah it's not astronomically but having 28c+ 24/7 I'd label more summer than spring (for Sweden).
