*sigh*
I have no idea who taught you math, but when I was in school we were explicitly told that 1 is not a prime number. I did hear that American education tends to fail their students, but honestly didn't think it's that bad.
Then again we're talking to a person who believes that November is winter.
No, you don't have to stand in a circle for the mechanic to succeed. If your HP is already a number that fits the requirement, then you get the check mark standing outside.Side question, does the "prime number" mechanic register if your HP is set to 2, 3, or 5 without adding? Because I could've sworn the mechanic requires the player to actually stand in a number circle to add up. If that's the case, then it wouldn't matter if 1 is a prime number or not, because you just wouldn't be doing the mechanic. But I can't remember if that's how it's supposed to work or not.
I have just encountered this bug as well.
I know this is a necro troll thread, but two things stick out to me:
One, they keep referring to Indivisible only. It's like they don't realize that the bar is only the warning sign to pay attention to what the robot says next.
Two, I learned primes are numbers that are only divisible by 1 and itself. Just because "itself" is also 1 doesn't change matters. It's divisible by 1 and 1, hence, prime.
I love this thread got necro'd.
The dictionary definition of a Prime Number per Merriam Webster: any integer other than 0 or ± 1 that is not divisible without remainder by any other integers except ± 1 and ± the integer itselfI know this is a necro troll thread, but two things stick out to me:
One, they keep referring to Indivisible only. It's like they don't realize that the bar is only the warning sign to pay attention to what the robot says next.
Two, I learned primes are numbers that are only divisible by 1 and itself. Just because "itself" is also 1 doesn't change matters. It's divisible by 1 and 1, hence, prime.
Also,
A prime number is an integer greater than 1 and whose only positive divisors are 1 and itself.
You can argue with the game's implementation all you want. Perhaps they could be more clear in the description or name it something different, but 1 is still not a prime number by definition.
