Thread: How long will EU still be ignored?

NA is currently having the Chocorpokkur event.
Both JP and NA had the Fat Black Chocobo event.

We have yet to hear any word about either for EU. Are we so forsaken that our only solution is to breach ToS and buy one of those Chocorpokkur code off of ebay??
You should really look into banning those guy too, like one of them made a month worth of salary off your codes.

It's probably legal reasons. They need to comply with 20 something countries' rules.

Sometimes US states get nailed too because of legal reasons (ie, Not valid in X state).

I doubt they're excluding us just because.

NA black fat chocobo was from an Amazon promotion. I'm pretty sure putting black fat chocobo codes on amazon for EU isn't that hard.

I saw some players with Chocorpokkur mounts on EU, how it is possible ?

They're not georestricted so people either have a friend there or buy them off merchant sites

Again, probably legal reasons. Some countries prohibit these things. If they exclude X because they're legally not allowed to do it there, then people complain.

I can't say for certain, but tying a giveaway to Amazon gives me the heebie jeebies. I don't expect much from my country's Amazon anyway.

But I'm 100 % certain it's legal reasons.

You would never be able to cover every EU country with 1 event, and they never did in the past, some got left out. But it's still better to have some country who can get them, and then have a friend there that can get a code for you, than none at all.

A lot of games have this problem with Australia. It's cost prohibitive.
