Give Scholar Libra

mini suggestion. Give Scholar its Libra ...you would think it would kinda be one of its core spells ;/

Libra: Makes the Targeted enemy 10% more vunarable to a specific element. Unlike condensed libra (from blue mage) , Libra is consistent in which weaknesses you reveal (ie "a toneberry will always be revealed to be weak to fire damage".)

As much as I'd love SCH to get a bunch of weakness revealing skills and mechanics (i. e. Data gathering, tactical/strategical themed skills and spells), elemental damage and particular wepon type damage (Piercing/Slashing/Blunt) clash against the game design SE seem to have envisioned. Aspected spells are but a cosmetic choice at this point, same with weapon damage type which had been steadily removed over the expansions to ensure that any job comp is "viable".

Chain Stratagem is SCH's version of Libra. Visually its a similar spell and it does sort of "expose the enemy weakness" in the sense that it makes scoring critical strikes against it easier.

Chain Strat has that fancy "scanning the enemy" animation. Though now that it comes up, I do wonder why they opted for that name over Libra. I suppose to fit in with the other abilities..?

Came here to say Chain Stratagem is basically Libra, but I see I was late to respond, lol. But yeah, there are plenty of skills in the game that may not share the same name with a more "classic" skill, but are especially that skill for XIV. Not all skills can translate well into an MMO environment, so they might have to make minor adjustments to the skill. One adjustment being the name so people can't complain about how the skill has "changed".
