Game Crashes on Start-up (6d)

Whenever I try to log in, it says "An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV. (6d).

I do not have MacType installed, I've tried fixing my firewall settings, updated my drivers, disabled DirectX 11, ran Steam as admin, uninstalling and re-installing, and I've tried launching it through GeForce Experience. It just does the same thing every time. I'm at a loss on what to do to fix.

As a part of our countermeasures against cheating, we’ve made it so that the error appears and the game will be unable to run when there are applications or processes, etc. that interfere with memory. There are a variety of applications in Windows, and it is difficult to suggest a specific method of solving the issue because everyone’s personal environment differs greatly, so please try running the game in a simple environment that you’ve confirmed has no applications or processes that interfere with memory.

Hello, and thank you for replying!
I opened my task manager and closed every application besides Steam (which I ran as admin), and still kept getting the error.
Is there possibly any other fix for this?

This error seems to be triggered by many different things, and for some it never really fixes.
Some common solutions are: get rid of mactype if you have it, run steam as admin (as you already did), use geforce experience to launch the game, activate(if not active) and update windows UAC the stuff that pops up when you need to run stuff with admin privileges and then repair FF14 client (backup/upload your config maybe just in case), creating a new user under windows seem to fix for some one time only though, changing region/timezone settings in windows to something else and then back to original.

I can imagine a more permanent but overkill solution would be to just create a new partition, reinstall only windows and FF on it and just use that to play the game... Just need around 100GB for that I guess free on your harddrive. : )
