Make all MSQ quests abandonable - missed cutscene in 5.55

Phoenix world crashed during the instance during 5.55 quest Death Unto Dawn. It counted the instance as completed, but presumably because the cutscene comes as soon as the instance completes, the quest has already moved on and I have no other context.

I don't particularly want to progress any further like this, but seems I have no choice as the GM team say they can't reset quest progress, but this could have been avoided if all quests were abandonable. Or at least make cutscenes available in the Unending Journey BEFORE you complete the quest - my only option now if I don't want to be confused or spoiled is to skip the remainder of Death Unto Dawn and NG+ the last half of post Shb, which is very excessive. GM suggests NG+ is unneeded and to watch the cutscene in the Unending Journey, but I still have to complete the rest of the quest (which I have no context for) first.

I'll do NG+ later but it's honestly a shame 5.55 had to be ruined like this, it was completely avoidable. I understand it's rare, but if issues like this can happen then there must be a way to reverse it.

If the cutscene you wish to view is the last step of the quest(as in, the quest ends and you get your reward after) you have one more option. If you decline the reward(thus not ending the quest), then talking to the NPC again will re-trigger said cutscene.

I dont remember the exact order of how the scenes instance and end of quest played out for the one you had an issue for, so i dont know if this helps.

You could look online to see if anyone's posted a Let's Play of 5.55 and jump around until you hit the cut scene you missed.

Sure, but that's less than ideal, not just partially because it isn't your character. I actually ran into this problem with the 5.55 MSQ myself. Luckily it was the very first conversation of the first quest so it was basically just "here's where we are", but it was still frustrating. I do wonder why MSQ is the only type of quest that can't be abandoned, at least as far as I'm aware.

I was offering help for what OP could do now to avoid having to do NG+. Since any change would likely come after it would be helpful to the OP for the current character.

You guys totaly forget there is a table where you can view all the cut scenes in the game, both in inn rooms and you can also buy it for your housing room.

That's only possible once you completed the quest.

The OP missed a cut scene in the middle of the quest and was left wondering what the context for what they were doing now.

And it doesnt actually have EVERY cutscene in the game. It has most of them, but there are holes in the narrative.
