    [PS4] Right after the latest 5.55 patch, I am getting [CE-34878-0] error.

    Hello SE community,

    I am wondering if anyone else is getting this error, and what else can be done about it:





    Everything is up-to-date, both PS4 system and FF14. I have tried deleting FF14, and installing again, did not work.

    This is clearly a game issue, because it never happened before the latest patch. Interestingly, it happens every time I open my Gathering Log (about 5 times now). It's always in that precise moment, when I press Gathering Log on the hotbar. I have sent reports with videos/screenshots to Sony, but I doubt they're doing anything about it.

    Game is no longer playable for me. Please help.

    Ok, let me try with a different question.

    Does anyone know if SE provides technical support to subscribers? I was under the impression that SE staff monitor this forum. Is there a way to request help from a SE employee (rather than player community who kindly volunteer their time)?

    Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

    I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. The CE 34878-0 can be caused due to corrupt data or system software. To alleviate the issue, please try the following:

    - Restart the system and make sure the latest game patches and PS4 system software has been installed.
    - If the error still persist, please re-install the PS4 system software. Go to settings, then ' Initialization' choose ' Initialize Ps4' (please be sure to back up any data before doing this)
