No but if they add essences 2.0 I'm going to be expected to farm them, and playing two games i quite frankly do not have the time.

I'd rather not get shat upon for not having them, like the people on the forum like to.

Is optional content and nothing to do with your main progression. If you don't have the time just focus on the stuff that you want. Relics are a non factor progression wise if you have plans to do end game in a "serious" way. Borrowed power is not a thing in FFXIV, at least so far, Eureka/Bozja/Palace of the Dead progression never goes away.

In any case, with how the content works in FFXIV you are going to have more than enough time to do anything you want.

You know you can buy Fragments on the Market Boards? I really hope that the next base zone has a retainer bell and market board in it as that would make it easier for both the farmers to supply the fragment equivalents and the people who do not want to farm to buy them. Needing to teleport to a town and then back to Doma and then using the Aethryte to get back to Gangos is to many steps to get Fragments off the market board compared to just running to the market board in Kugane.
