Could you make this spell cycle through tank, healer, and dps each time you cast it? There's not always a healer or tank around to mimic.
edit: bah. got the name wrong in the title >< sorry.

um just go to any of the main cities? there's plenty of ppl hanging around there.
It would Just be a simple quality of Life improvment, dont see why they would not do It sooner or later
I like this method. I had also wondered if they even just made the guild leaders tagetable, that could make it so you always have someone you know you can mimic. They would even expand this to some of the other job quest givers so Raya-O-Senna and E-Sumi-Yan can both give healer, for example.
well thats kinda the point. You shouldnt need to go hunting for a stance . making it a cycling thing would only improve the spell.
and what about when the BLU is already in a party or dungen, but needs to switch to a diffrent mimicry, then they are kinda stuck.
The party should have their roles figured out before entering the duty.
It would be neat, but a lot of unnecessary work, if they made many NPCs valid targets for Mimicry. Need tank? Go copy one of the PLDs near the Chamber of Rule. Healer? Any of the Hearers (purple robed CNJs) in the Shroud outposts.I had also wondered if they even just made the guild leaders tagetable, that could make it so you always have someone you know you can mimic. Error 3102 Club, Order of the 52nd Hour
They could also make various overworld monsters count as having roles, whether humanoid or otherwise.
I'm sure they will do something silly and make something like a "Role Swap" spell that will replace Mimicry entirely.
Next you'll claim you shouldn't have to see an enemy use a Blue Magic spell before you can learn it...
