Error where <se.6> plays indefinitely in world maps + housing instances

So I'm not sure when this started, maybe since 5.5 came out? But lately when I play, the <se.6> sound effect just seems to play in a loop in the background, regardless of where I am.

I haven't clicked a macro done anything to engage the sound effect, it just plays everywhere I go. My house. The housing ward. The Gold Saucer. Eulmore. Il Mheg. Even my Grand Company Barracks. Any map! It's just constant bongos. I have tested this with friends in their party, and even with my wife in the exact same locations, but she does not get the bongo sound effects. Only me, for some reason.

The sound only seems to stop when I am in a dungeon or other shared instance. But as soon as I get back, it's bongos again.

Is this a reportable bug? Am I just cursed? I don't know what to do.

To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Does this issue happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
