Not only am I not farming essences, I've been doing a lot of these at work on my laptop using their crappy wifi, so I'm generally distracted and hitchy through a lot of the run. Plenty of times I've had to actually step away for a few minutes mid fight, and I'm usually dead when I get back, lol.

Doesn't it make you all so mad? Don't you wish there was something you could do about it?

Just don't complain the next time you queue into a roulette and someone's AFKing, not AoEing, not DPSing as a healer. You're essentially that person in DR.

I never do complain, but this isn't really an apt comparison. Expecting people to do mechanics and play their class in the content they queued for isn't the same as expecting them to farm, spend gil and do a bunch of external prep work for a normal DR raid.

May as well get mad that the people doing normal SHB raids aren't pentamelded and using high level foods/pots because of what a significant time difference that would make.
