    Intervene sounds weak

Finally got to lvl 74 as Paladin but am I wrong in thinking the ability sounds...lacking.

Animation wise I charge in and slam my shield. But I guess its made out of cardboard because I was expecting more impact. Feels deflated imo. It should have a similar sound effect as shield bash.

It's purpose isn't to do damage, this is a repositionning tool to get in melee range quickly. You weave it to constantly keep 1 charge in cooldown to get some extra damage but this isn't meant to be a huge damage ability.

This is wrong. Intervene, Rough Divide, and Plunge do not work like Onslaught. Not dumping 2 Intervenes inside of FoF is a loss of 20 potency per Intervene, and that's just the base value, not even accounting for the fact that raid buffs will not be utilized, and you'll forever de-align from group alignment.

There are cases where holding the gap closer can be a benefit, but it's fight specific, and doing a Req opener might be a better idea if immediate movement is needed. If it has potency, it's purpose is damage. (except onslaught lmao)

EDIT: "It's only 20 potency!!!!!" If you get ten FoF's annd they all have 2 a piece, it's a free intervene in damage at worst. Guess it's up to the user if that's worth.

careful. if you complain about the sounds not sounding good, then soon it'll sound like a pillow thwump.

GNB is a shining example to that.

It's probably better to start at Kalaam's position and work towards yours than the other way around.

Tanks dragging bosses around or delaying GCDs while they run back because they don't know the fight well enough to time their gap closers right costs more damage than just holding onto a charge.

Odinel is right but yeah, that's more high level optimization. The base usage of the skill is gap closing and some additional side dps.

I agree. They should give PLD the old Gunbreaker sounds.

Jokes aside, it would be nice if gapclosers were actually gapclosers. If I remember correctly, Warcraft gets around this problem by having a minimum range on gapclosers, and that's how Shoulder Tackle originally worked. The problem is that this playerbase is very much against situational actions, or ones that produce any sort of variation in your dps output in a perfectly pre-planned run.

It's only weak cuz it's the latest gapcloser of all. PLD is too tired of running all the way up to lvl 74 to properly dash and make a powerful sound of it.

As long as it keeps it's current gap closing technique then I'm not worried, a cool sound added wouldn't be bad though.

Plus can we get war's gap closer taken off the job gauge, I want it to be like the other tanks gap closers, plus give monk a ranged move to hit stuff like the other meele DPS have.

@Kalaam So if I move very quickly to slam someone in the face with my shield, the shield necessarily changes its thickness or composition?
