Whilst I would agree that asking players to be pitch-perfect in the execution of their job/class, and additionally the mechanics are completely unfeasible. However, on this particular account I do find there is little in the way of excuses to not be carrying an essence in some way shape, or form, especially seeing as the duty itself awards fragments. Which even if they are not your fragment type can still be sold, and then buy fragments more relevant to you. Whether it gives an essence or something like a dervish; that's still something that can be used to help the run.

If I am to speak honestly though; the implementation of it takes the blame, wholly. I'm really not sure what they were thinking by scaling the encounters to having damage essences. Not only that, they didn't really compensate for this by making the fragments easier to farm in Zadnor. - It's something I find wholly silly, especially with their latest approach being along the lines of not wanting people to invest too much time in the preparation.
