Retainer capped at level 79 despite character being 80 in that job

Character: Rydia Mystt@Ultros
Retainer: Shyyyo-bird

One of my Rydia alt's retainers seems to be capped at level 79 summoner despite the fact that Rydia is level 80 as summoner. Shyyyo-bird has been level 79 for a couple of months now despite continuing to send her out on ventures.

Her other two retainers, Shrunken-justin and Artikodin-articuno are unaffected. Those two retainers are level 80 summoner, Shyyyo-bird will not go above 79.

With my main, Moltres Rider, it only took five days of sending retainers on ventures to get them from 79 to 80. This includes when I decided to purchase a third retainer, jump him to 70, and leveled him to 80. He took only five days as well to go from 79 to 80.

Shyyyo-bird is constantly going on ventures like all the other retainers yet will not level above 79 no matter how many ventures she goes on.

Rydia has not touched any other job and every other job is at where they started. So she definitely does not have a different job at 79. Besides, all three retainers have the summoner icon.

Does anybody know what the problem could be?

Is it possible you're just sending them out on low level ventures that don't reward very much exp?

Can you show us a picture of the retainer's level/experience? That screen will likely have all the answers as it'll show how much exp is still needed and you'll also be able to see if it's going up, even slowly.

Definitely NOT doing low level stuff.

I am doing "quick exploration" which only took five days on every retainer on every character to go from 79 to 80. Rydia's Shyyyo-bird is taking MUCH longer

Based on what it says there, you only need 2.8 million to hit so that next venture should be sufficient. Quick venture exp varies, but the amount of exp you're getting/number of days it would take is about right (that's only about 7 days at that rate).

If it's still not levelled up after that (check the exp again to see if it changed) then I guess you'll need to fill out a bug report. If you do that though, make sure you use the template in the pinned thread or it'll be automatically rejected.
