Bozja Notes Drop Rates: Can You Confiirm if Working As Intended?

Agree with the OP, this system seems very unfairly tuned; I have spent more than 30 hours over the last 4 days farming notes 14, 17, 45 and 45 and still nothing and moreover nothing for any of the other players I have been with. At the very least there needs to be an ability to buy these logs using our useless Bozjan coins.

Locking story & lore behind RNG is not cool by the way. Please do better.

For being a rank 2 field note, Meryall doesn't seem to even drop at the Dalriada.

Meryall's note drop from there? O_o I've never seen it, not even once. I ran Dalriada almost 20 times now.

exactly this. you need only look at https://ffxivcollect.com/records to see that there is a massive discrepancy between a few very specific field notes and all the rest.

I could understand if even all of the Skirmish/CE drops were a low drop rate, perhaps insanely low. It keeps the zone busy. But Castrum and Dalriada? Those should have higher drop rates, for sure. I'm not opposed to the rest being increased, mind you, but those are what are going to give the most players trouble since a lot of people don't do duels. It does appear that the system isn't tuned very well.

Fabineau is one I am struggling with. It is not even that it is 'rare', but that skirmish just dies in a few seconds which is a bit ridiculous. So if you want to have a chance getting it you pretty much have to stay next to it waiting for it to spawn instead of actually playing the game.
I think it is fine for the ones that are guaranteed loot in Duels to be very rare outside of duels though. It makes duels a little bit more rewarding. Drop rates could still be increased a little bit though, I agree.

To get that, I killed Legion Death Machines to spawn An End to Atrocities. I was losing hope that these mobs really spawned it, when it spawned. After spawning it I started getting enmity on it and got the note first try.

I got his recently, but I know what you mean. I had to stay in Zone 2 for me to even have a CHANCE of reaching it.

I've gotten lucky and only need three left, but yes I agree with some of the drops need to be fixed. Zadnor seems to be fine, because while grinding for some you can get decent mettle towards buffs. But anything in Bozja is almost worthless if you don't get the note. Trying to get into the Duel after Metal Wolf Chaos is also horrid.... It takes forever to pop and then good luck getting through. Same with Red Chocktober. All three CEs for the duels in Zadnor I have not had issues with.

Also why was the Diablos Armament made a 100% drop????

Don't bother with Dalriada for Meryall i severely doubt shes in there she has nothing to do with the boss

frankly they need to increase the drop rate for the rarer field notes for Bozja, it is ridiculous that i have been grinding for several hours a day and not gotten even 1 of the 3 remaining field notes i need in Bozja

There are a couple of ways that would at least somewhat fix the problem everyone is experiencing.

1) Up the drop-rate from the rarer fieldnotes.*
2) Being able to exchange Bozjan currency for the fieldnotes even for high prices. Just to give an example, being able to trade 999 coins for Sartauvoire's or Dabog's note. (Maybe unlock after the player reaches a certain point of Marks of Honor)*
3) Lower the cooldown of the Skirmishes/Critical Engagements related to the fieldnotes that are on the higher end rarity, even if the duels were not to spawn it would at the least give players a chance more often to being able to obtain them.*

*I'm referring only to The Bozjan Southern Front as since Zadnor just recently released but it would also be a way to future-proof the content for any completionist players once Zadnor eventually reaches its downhill of activity.

This would ensure that not only everyone can get the mount behind collecting all notes but that people in the future are able to also collect them and that both can complete it without putting an insane amount of time into it.
We cannot expect the entire playerbase to do the duels and put in the entire timesink on top of the luck required to complete the log without doing the 1v1's

I submitted a bug report on specifically one field note, Dyunbu #12
been trying to get it for just about a week- doing several instances of Bozja until lock out
I've done all of her skirmishes, gotten gold each time- I complete all of her skirmishes every time throughout each instance and not gotten a single note from her

There needs to be a better way to get her note
A bozja coin turn in or a trade in for the box that drops for her notes



Her skirmish for one, pops up too infrequent & requires a stupid pre requisite of not have too many CE's up or other skirmishes & it's still not guaranteed to spawn
It's been a week & I've only been after her note-- & I'm still waiting for them to drop
