Bozja Notes Drop Rates: Can You Confiirm if Working As Intended?

This really does need to be looked at. The awful drop rate is encouraging people who have little to gain from Southern Bozjan Front to sit around and wait for skirmishes like Murder Death Kill, Of Absent Friends, and Of Steel and Flame to spawn just for a miniscule chance for the notes to drop. There's little else to do that's worth it while you wait for them to spawn because mettle gains are abysmally low, and if you move too far away from where they spawn you risk missing out on getting to the skirmishes on time. It's a terribly unfun gameplay loop sitting around waiting. Being able to buy the notes with coins would be a welcome alternative, at least then it would encourage people to do other things while in the zone.

I really believe that anything that isn't a 1 in 5 chance to drop should be buyable after a fixed grind. A 1 in 1,000,000 drop rate has never been fun in any MMO and in principle all such grinds should be fixed with a currency exchange of some form.

When it's a random chance to drop and you don't get it, it feels like you wasted your time. When you gain a currency you feel like you are at least making progress toward your goal.

I believe mmos should have rare items, but just don't make them untradeable. That way the marketplace has things worth buying and selling. Unlucky people can buy them if they want them that bad, and lucky people who get extra drops can make some good gil out of it.

Buying with gil doesn't feel satisfying. I did it for the Copycat Bulb, but it felt like I was cheating and every day I spent grinding was a complete waste.

I feel like the RNG is as bad as getting an EX whistle on release. I'm on 11 in Bozja, supposedly not as rare as the other two but after what seems like 30+ kills there's no drop. I guess I need to be in the upper 50s like many others before it drops.

can only hope that the last couple patches increases drop rate just like EX mount drop rates get increases too.

It's disheartening you can go an entire lockout without seeing FAF spawn. If all you're there for are Field Notes, it feels awful to spend time prepping fates with no reward. I can't even go into Castrum, to reup on a chance for bloodsucker essence, because I've missed an FAF spawn doing so. So many of us are spending hours prepping for this fate with no reward. Also, MDK is the same. I've done this fate a couple dozen times over the past week and we aren't getting anything from it.

I'm pretty sure the intention with the rare ones is that you do the duels for a 100% chance to get them.
