New Scions (?)

Mild spoilers ahead:
So, from what I've been gathering it was really heavily implied by the writter at FanFest that the current scions, or most of them (I doubt Graha is making an exit so soon) will be getting their finales in EW, and we will likely get new ones in 6.x-7.0.

I wonder, what kind of scion would you like to see? What race, job or personality would you like them to have and why?

Personally I took it more as us saying goodbye to the scions in general. Would be a great start to a new adventure if we had to make a whole new group to surround ourselves with in hopefully new scenery as well. But maybe I got it all wrong.

I also think it will be our goobye to most of the usual cast, and tbh I hope that our new 'adventure group' is more 'colorful', considering that literally every scion but graha has either white or really light blonde hair.
I think having a cast made up of the more 'unique' races (Would love a male au ra, specially xaela, a hrotgar, probably a viera, males could be like a more silent assasin version of Thancred and females could probably replace Yshtola as the poster girl if done well enough) and in particular, I would appreciate them having more 'diverse' jobs, as I think that, excluding Ryne, Thancred is the only current TRUST NPC (who I consider to be the most 'prominent' cast) who isnt either a mage or some variant of a mage class (even Graha could be considered a mage).
I think having a WAR scion like Moenbryda or a MCH one would be really cool imo.

I get this feeling we're going to lose the twins at the end of 6.0... Not to death or anything, but I think they might break away from being Scions like Lyse did at the end of Stormblood to stay in Old Sharlayan. Or perhaps only Alphinaud so he can work with the Alliance full time with regards to the Grand Company of Eorzea.

This is what I figured may happen as well. If 6.x really finishes explaining and dealing with everything they set up from the start - ascians, Hydaelyn/Zodiark, the Scions, the Echo, and primals - then it would be just like XI was at the end of its second expansion, and from there we can go to new parts of the world, spending an entire expansion there meeting people and working with them on whatever it is they have going on. This would be especially true if the conclusion in either 6.3 or 6.5 results in the removal of any or all of those key elements; i.e. if the Echo stops happening and summoning primals becomes impossible, then the Scions have no reason to still exist as a group.

It would also be a welcome change IMO, as the cracks from straining to maintain this single cohesive storyline really show with things like the Diablo Armament (because it has to be Allag, Garlemald, ascians, or all of them at once!) or adding in some new story about how they wanted Estinien to join the Scions for a long time (because everyone has to be a member to join the PC and be a trust!).

As long as the current crew still can show up every once in a while I'd be fine with that. After all, it wouldn't be a bad thing to see them again from time to time since they've become a kind of family to the WoL.

But yeah, let Graha stick around. We still need to have our pack-mule to do some stuff for us. Also he hasn't been involved for too long yet anyway. Gotta get the mileage out of him. I honestly hope to see some of the class/job trainers get more screen-time. Y'mitra(SMN trainer) was really the only one and that was back in HW. I think E-Sumi-Yan(CNJ trainer) showed up in one or two MSQ quests briefly as well, but just for one or two text boxes.

I'd like to see a completely new cast, personally. By all means, we can check in with the existing characters from time to time but I didn't like how Shadowbringers introduced us to a new world but had the bulk of the story still revolve around the Scions.

Overfamiliarity can often breed contempt and...I doubt the Final Fantasy games as a whole would be popular if they each followed the same cast over and over again. It's time for something fresh, I think!

Oh - and we should get a male Raen or Xaela to travel with.
